The Magical Zoo is the first book and the first children's book by Jason Akinaka. It's a story of love and loss, bravery and unlikely heroes, of risks and consequences, and ultimately of action motivated by love leading to all being made right in the world again. If that sounds good to you, buy it now.

What age is this book for?

The Magical Zoo is appropriate for children as young as four-years-old and as old as ten. It's plot is a little too advanced for toddlers to understand with more complex language and rhyming verse. But all ages will appreciate the gorgeous and whimsical, colorful illustrations by Graham Irwin of the Delicious Design League.

What kind of content does this book have?

This book contains no violence (unless you count a frog falling on a head as violence), no perilous moments, although there are a few spooky settings, no nudity (not even a baby bottom), and no offensive content.

Is it a hardcover or soft cover?

Originally, The Magical Zoo was printed as a hardcover book. But to save on printing costs and to make the book cheaper and more accessible to all, the author opted for a softcover going forward. The quality of the images and pages, however, is just as good, and the book is printed in full-page crisp, vibrant colors on 60 pound, 90 grams per square meter paper.

How much does it cost?

As of this writing, the paperback book sells on Amazon for $12.46 and the eBook is $2.99 or $0.00 if you are a KindleUnlimited member.

Where else can I get the book?

As of this writing, I'm working on getting The Magical Zoo into select libraries and book stores. Stay tuned.
